Church Performance

Michael's bible club/choir group performed at church on Sunday. It was so cute and they did so well. Grandma and Gary even came to watch, that was a nice treat. I will try to get the videos loaded and posted here by the end of this week, if I remember how to get them of my video camera, or if I even have the right cords/software, not sure if I got them after the move or not.

Reading and so much more

Time for another update, so much has gone on and I hate that I only update this once a month, it is hard to get it all typed up. I need to get back to weekly or daily again.

Well Michael is reading and is doing so well in school. I have his conference in 2 weeks and can't wait to see some of his work. He has learned how to read 40+ words already and making small sentences out of them and I melt every time I hear him read his mini books to me. I LOVE IT!!!

He is loving karate still, whew. It is a year commitment, so I am just hoping he continues to love it month to month. We started his payments in September I think, so just about 2 months down, 10 more to go :).

He was also attending My Gym a bit for the last 2 months. We got a really good sign up special, so I went for it. But it is just way to much money fro BOTH karate and this and way too much out of the house, since each were 1 hour 2 X a week. He loved it so much, got so much energy out and exercise in. I loved the environment there and the teacher's were the best, so funny, friendly and young at heart. I hate seeing it go, but we have no choice. I wish I would have found it earlier in his life, when he was way younger and we could do it rather then the sports we tried, he didn't enjoy those and he LOVED this. But they only just opened it a couple of years ago.

Halloween was great. We did the "trunk or treat" at our church for a bit, with a free chili and cornbread dinner, then we hit the old neighborhood with the Twins. Such fun. Michael was the good (red) Spiderman. He was the black (bad) one Venom last year and so went Red this time. The mask was terrible, the eye holes not bigger then a dime and even after we cut them bigger and bigger he could still not see safely out of them, so we ditched it altogether. It was no doubt who he was with his big bulky, muscular costume. I will have to get some pictures loaded soon.

Time is flying by right now, so much to get done as always for a regular week, but now with the holidays approaching I worry that we will have time to sit back and relax to enjoy them, or keep running 100MPH. I am also worrying about HOW we will get gifts for everyone and not get stressed about how much it all will cost. We can't even afford our bills now, so anything additional will be impossible, but not having Christmas.. well that is not an option, just not sure how we can even get 1 gift, let alone all the ones we need to get for our family.

Speaking of money again, I am not sure when we will get a break. If it is not one thing, it is another. I finally got paid from my new job and was hoping the lawyer and all would be over with soon and I could start to rebuild my life..well then my garage door breaks and I had to dole out $100+ for that. To make matters worse, my tires are so seriously bald and I bet not even safe for this winter driving.. yeah uh sure, like I have money for that too. When will it ever end.. cry.

On the good side of things, I was able to sit down last weekend and get 2 out of my 3 papers done that I needed to do for school. I signed up for my last of 3 classes that I had to take to keep my teaching certificate valid but I did that this summer, so they were supposed to be due by the end of August, Well it is now November and need to get them done before the holidays hit or I know I never will, I am already seriously behind on them. I think I will be able to get some reading done Monday and maybe start on my last one this week, wrapping it up by the weekend and popping it in the mail (I Hope)!

Veteran's day was last Tuesday. Michael learned what the day was called and what it was all about at school. He loved saying the holiday name, so kept asking me what day it was over and over again. I had the day off from BOTH jobs (surprisingly) so we headed to jump and bounce with a friend and had a great play date. It was packed, but not too bad really and the kids didn't seem to even notice or care. Afterwards we had lunch out and then he invited his friend back to our house to play for a few hours (I had the chance to relax and clean then since he was occupied.. it was perfect). What a great day to get a ton done (to bad it was messed up again not even 2 days later :()

Well I better go read books to Michael and get him ready for bed. Tomorrow we have another busy day just like all of them are these days. I have more to post, so I hope to get back on in the next day or 2 with more updates.
